There’s not always an opportunity to do nighttime photography, but when it happens, I love the result.
Collection of nighttime pictures from around Poland:
The Cmentarz Centralny (Central Cemetery) on Wszystkich Swietych (All Saint’s Day). Around Poland families decorate the graves of their relatives with intricate designs of flowers and candles. In the evening the entire community stops to visit the cemetery and light their candles. The ensuing ambiance is stunning. Walking through any cemetery on this night is a somber yet beautiful experience. Outside the entrance local vendors set up shops selling mostly candles, flowers, and decorations, but some vending candy, sweets, and food.
The fountain at the Pilsudskiego Memorial Park.
The “over-30” nightclub Bel-Air Terminal. We were by far the youngest people in the club. But, it was cool, the 10 euro entrance fee included a full service dinner buffet, and the club had a number of rooms plus a big central dance floor.
